February is here!
I am so excited! We have a bead group locally where several lampworkers meet and share. We have demonstrations and special guests. I previewed this set to the group and it was very well received! I am very proud of this set. It has an original look and it just beautiful!
Our bead group is holding a spring bead challenge - given how well it was received, I think I shall flame up another set to enter in the contest!

Still open to new ideas so please write us!

Sheesh - Bad Bead Day

What a rotten day beading! Must be the moon in the wrong house! I must have not been in the right frame of mind. Jamie's recent hospitalization still has us worried. He's back at school which is just as worrisome. I made only one bead today! Not true. Made 15 beads - 14 crapola beads and one great bead. My encased floral split in half. Starfish looked like.... geez aliens! My sea biscuits looked like..... alien by-product. I give for today. Someone please send me an idea. My muse is on holiday!

Design Day

Today was paper and pencil day! I spent most of the day designing my next sets! I cannot wait to fire up the torch in the morning. I have an aquatic set with 5 fish planned, a pink, coral and black set with triangles and tiles, and a follow-up to Samba... adding pea green and ruffles! Should be a fun week of molten glass! Have a great week!

At 2:59 pm est I checked ebay for my least favorite seller (AH) - there were 1146 SETS of approx 15 so-called handmade beads listed. That's over 17,000 individual beads listed on ebay ALONE! At 20 beads per hour that's 800 torch hours (there are only 168 hours in a week)! LOL! Let's not forget that he also sells wholesale all over the world. Many bead shops even advertise they carry his beads!

Morning Chores

It's morning and I have to decide which set to list first. I have names for all but one set now - that's a major accomplishment! I did a series of feather fractals - an ostrich and a peacock. They are pretty fab! My fav set is the SAMBA. I will have pictures loaded later. Now to measure all 60 beads - yahoooooo! Another menial time consuming chore that ebay buyers prefer. Well, I better get busy..... I want a little time on the torch today!

I spent the morning smashing frit and helping a fellow lampworker get ready for a bead show in Florida. I am wiped out!
